Re-examination

This site is dedicated to re-examination. Re-examination of Scriptural truth. I realize much of what we have been taught is either taken out of its context or blurred by the chapter, verse and subject heading divisions of the Bible. As such the Bible becomes a book that seemingly contradicts itself. It tells us that we are forgiven but then tells us to confess our sins. It tells we are righteous but that we can lose this righteousness even though it was imputed onto us.

This, I find is what has enslaved the believer into a performance oriented religion. Upon re-examination, a lot of the teaching which we received, glorifies this human effort ritual called religion.

The purpose of this site is to rectify this and to offer an alternative interpretation of the Bible. One that is symmetrical with what is taught in the Old and the New Testaments.

It is the hope of the administrator of this blog and the blogger that you meet God without His religion. He came to give His Son. Not a religion.

  3. In response to your post on https://hischarisisenough.wordpress.com/2011/06/04/effortless-righteousness/, there is one “work” for which righteousness can be imputed.

    Numbers 25:11
“Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, the priest, has turned my anger away from the Israelites; for he was as zealous as I am for my honor among them, so that in my zeal I did not put an end to them.

    Psalm 106:30-31
But Phinehas stood up and intervened, and the plague was checked. This was credited to him as righteousness for endless generations to come.

That said, given the unlikelihood of a typical person ever being as zealous for God’s as honor as God, it probably does not effect your theology. However, I saw an attempt on your part to acknowledge the very real role of works in the Old Testament, and so felt you might appreciate having this particular work pointed out.

  4. Thank the lord for your blog! Absolute truth! But I am curious to know who you are, if you please.

  6. Hello, all. I need a mentor on all of this. I asked for Jesus blood payment to pay for my sins about 30 years ago. For all this time, I’ve hoped for relief from the stress and fear I can feel at times because of the claims we read that somehow we (each of us) need to be good enough to qualify for God’s temporal and eternal blessing. When I consider this viewpoint, it makes me sad and afraid. When I consider Joseph Prince’s (JP) viewpoint, I find peace and joy in my soul.

I really don’t want to live out my last 20+ years (I’m 60) continuing this mental, emotional battle. I’m looking for a mentor who can guide me to maximum confident in God’s unchangeable, unmerited favor. But, it needs to be a pretty advanced mentor because I’m a serious student of matters like this and the issues that trouble me aren’t the real simple ones. I’ve been thinking and reading and talking about these matters for many, many years.

I wonder how many verses are sited by “works” proponents to make their case? I know there are quite a few. I wish JP would systemmatically write about each of these seeming-works-verses so they won’t trouble me (or others). I wonder if JP has certain verses that he hasn’t really “put to rest” in his mind so, to which he doesn’t have a confident response. I know I’ll never get in touch with him. But,
perhaps one of you reading this blog can help me since JP isn’t available, of course.

My email address is rickdavis@ccgvp.com of someone wants to help me. Simon Yap seems like he could help. But I don’t see a way to ask him if he wants to help me. Also, I can’t imagine a more fun way to live out these last 20 years of earthly life helping others to get peace and joy on these matters which I know trouble many people. But, I myself need to grow more before I could maximize helping others.

  7. It’s me again. I had a followup thought to what I wrote above: The following is interesting and comforting to me: For all of the praise that JP gets on the hundreds of websites from readers that reference him, I’ve never seen even ONE person gush (be excited about) the money/prosperity aspect of JP’s theology. They always talk/write about the peace and joy they have gained from the Truth JP presents. The peace and joy is way, way more valuable than any earthly prosperity that may come our way. I guess money only has big value to us if we think that it might bring us peace and joy. But if we have the peace and joy already, then money becomes only modestly important or maybe even unimportant.

  8. Hello beloved, you are a blessed son of Abba Daddy. Daddy is always smiling when you whole heartedly expound His Heart of Love to His children. Daddy God bless you so much. I love everything about you blog! More charis, bro!

  9. Such a necessary theme: Re-examination. I’m glad to be the first to courageously “like” the post. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

  10. Love your blog! I completely embrace the message of pure GRACE! I thank God for the ministry of Joseph Prince, Andrew Wommack and (apparently) D.L. Moody. I wouldn’t have known about his teachings except from your website. I am growing in grace daily and resting in His Love for me. I pray that God will send Pastors and Teachers to minister this message of Grace unencumbered by the law (mixture). Would you happen to know of any church in the Greenville, SC teaching pure GRACE like Joseph Prince?
