Understanding Revelation 20: Satan and the lake of fire.

Did you know that when Jesus was referring to the worms that do not die and fires that do not end were referring to the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple and not hell?

Mark 9:48
‘where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’

Now look at this.

Isaiah 66:24
And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

Jesus was quoting the massacre of the Jews during the Babylonian attacks. He was saying it will happen again when the Romans attack Jerusalem.

Jesus is YHVH.

This post may be offensive to some. However truth must be told. Contrary to some popular belief Jehovah is not God’s name. His name is in Hebrew and the equivalent alphabets are YHVH. Yud Hei Vau Hei. In Hebrew every letter is a picture too. Kind of like our A for Apple B for Boy…

Arguing Melchizedek is Jesus is missing the point.

Guys. Let me be frank. Melchizedek is not a real name. His name is actually a title. It is taken from 2 words. Melchi and Zedek. King and Righteousness. It is his title. King of Righteousness. He was also the King of Salem. Salem was the original name of Jerusalem before it became Jerusalem. Traditional…

The Father’s New House.

It is pertinent to note every word of scripture is written to bring us comfort. When we read the words “fiery indignation and judgement awaiting the enemies of God”, we must note Hebrews 10:26-29 is talking about the abolishing of temple sacrifices and thereby the destruction of the Temple. The Temple is often referred to…

Sacrificing Isaac: A fresh perspective.

We really must teach the account of Abraham sacrificing Isaac, not from the point how Abraham showed he loved God. The Bible actually says God does not delight in sacrifices. He delights in the obedience of His Son Jesus. This can be seen in Hebrews 10. We must understand that Abraham was called out from…

So you think you can lose your salvation …

The plan of salvation was never about bringing people to heaven per se. If you read the account of creation the purpose of creation is for God and man to be joint in one flesh. That is why the Spirit hovered over the waters. When man chose to be led by his own spirit by…

Never will I leave you nor forsake you.

What did the writer of Hebrews meant by “never will I leave you nor forsake you”? In the book of Hebrews the writer speaks of the earthly Jerusalem as in a city that is NOT enduring. In other words it was about to be destroyed as Jesus said in Matt 24. Hebrews 13:14 14 For…

10 things to unlearn.

10 things we need to unlearn that has messed up our Christianity. 1. We are not going through a transition from Law to Grace. We are already in Grace. The Law ended in AD70. The transition period was from the coming of John the Baptist to the destruction of Jerusalem. 2. The New Jerusalem is…

My thoughts on Revelation

My journey through the Book of Revelation has been a very enriching one. I thank those who have taken the journey with me. Though many have dissented, many are freed from an idea of the possibility of being left behind. I have learned a few things which I would like to share and what has…

Dating the Book of Revelation

Dating the Book of Revelation With the dating of Revelation, you establish the true historical prospective. If you date it early, you have its fulfillment in God’s judgment on Israel. If you date it late, you have every man’s idea. So dating plays a very important part in its interpretation. There are differences of opinion…

What is the unpardonable sin?

The unpardonable sin ‘Matthew 12:31-32 And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in…

What does “God disciplining his children” mean?

Does God discipline his children by sending them judgment and sicknesses?   Hebrews 12 is not about God punishing his children. The misconception finds it’s source from understanding verse 1.   Hebrews 12   1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders…

How can the law fade away when “Heaven and Earth” is still here?

Matthew 5:18New Living Translation (NLT)18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. There is a great deal of confusion when Christians refer to this verse. Some say that the law is around because heaven and earth are…

Hebrews 2: Why was Jesus “made lower than the angels”?

Hebrews 2: Revisited. The message of the Angels is the Law “We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. 2 For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, 3 how shall we escape if we ignore so great a…

Hebrews 1: It’s direct now!

Dear friends, I noticed that many teach Hebrews chapter 1 being Jesus is sovereign or that he is superior to the angels. I verily believe it is a merely a preamble to a more important message. Let us see how Hebrews 1 begin. “In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times…
