A serious question about heaven and hell.

I want to ask a seriously dumb question.

Christians always tell you that if you don’t believe in Jesus you will end up in hell.

Then I ask, really? Which part?

They will say “your soul and your spirit because your spirit lives forever”.

So I said this. You mean “hell is a spiritual place?” Then they say “Yes”.

Then I ask, “Is the kingdom of heaven a spiritual place too? When we die we go to heaven?”

“Yes. “

So I ask, “So why then is there a need for a resurrection?”

“So that you’ll be heaven. “ They answered.

“But according to you, we are already in heaven even before our bodies are raised”. I said.

Long pause.

“The bible says the worms that eat you and the fires that burn you is forever.”They say.

“So it’s a spiritual resurrection body”. They snap back.

“I see. So is this body perfect?” I ask.

“Yes. No sickness. No death”. They answered.

“Two hands? Two eyes? ” I replied?

“Yes perfect.”They replied.

“Then what the hell is this about:

Mark 9:43-49

And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life CRIPPLED than with TWO HANDS to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life LAME than with TWO FEET to be thrown into hell. And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with ONE eye than with TWO EYES to be thrown into hell, ‘where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’ For everyone will be salted with fire.

What the heck is this?

Going to heaven with one hand, one eye and one foot?

Hell was Jerusalem in AD70.

Isaiah 66:24

“And they shall go out and look on the DEAD BODIES of the men who have rebelled against me. For their worm shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.”

It’s describing about a grave site where bodies are littered every where. The phrase “the worms and fires are forever” is our equivalent “it takes forever to get those bodies disposed”. It just means a long long time.

As for getting into the kingdom with one hand, leg and eye, it meant people who left Jerusalem had entered into the new covenant, where God lives in them.

Heaven is where God lives. He lives in you. You are already in the kingdom since Jerusalem was destroyed in AD70.

Wake up.

  1. I just received this from a Pastor Dan.

“Whoever, I read your article. Pure nonsense. I am sorry, but heaven and hell are clearly described in the Gospels and in the Prophets and your are leading people astray. I sure you mean well, but your theology and interpretation is just wrong. I will not debate you, but I have unsubscribed to your writings. I wish you the best, but warn you that you and I will stand before God and give an account of what we teach other people. Please take your calling seriously. In HimPastor Dan Nicholson “FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED”. ROMANS 10:13”.

    Let’s look at this.

    Romans 10:1-3
Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.

Who is Paul directing verse 13 to?

Jews at that time. Or Gentiles at our time.

Who were the people which needed salvation? Jews or Gentiles.

    Read very carefully this.

    Romans 10:5-6
Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law: “The person who does these things will live by them.” But the righteousness that is by faith says: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down)

People under Moses. Where you ever under Moses since the cross?

So. As such what were these Jews supposed to be saved from?

    A real Hell? Or AD70.

It’s incredible how people who are deceived call others deceived.

I do take my calling very seriously.

I have no problems standing before God what I teach, because what I teach in what he told me to teach. Not your seminary asks me to teach. Which is religious crap.

Don’t put people in bondage when Jesus already set people free.

  2. Just got this note.

“Also, In the garden of Eden, right after the fall, God prevented “us” from eating from the tree that would give us eternal life. Now, Jesus is the only way to receive eternal life. So, those going to heaven because of Jesus, have eternal life. Those who don’t know Jesus, don’t have eternal life – they die.”

People are incredibly literal when they look at scripture. They think God actually prevents man to eat the three of life as a punishment.

I am actually shocked that we can actually believe in such thing about God. God wants you to die!

Seriously the giver of life wants to die.

Thereafter give Jesus to justify himself in sending people to death?

So. Why did God prevent Adam from taking the tree of life?

    Read extremely carefully.

    Genesis 3:22
And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take ALSO from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”

The key word here is ALSO. In other words he must not eat of both trees.

Adam has just taken the tree of knowledge of good and evil. That tree is an allegory of the Law of Moses.

The tree of life on the other hand is an allegory of grace.

In other words what God was preventing death. Not physical death but the ministry of death.

Many grace people think that the ministry of death is about the Law.

    It isn’t.

When Paul spoke about the ministry of death, he spoke about Moses being veiled. Moses was veiled the second time he received the Law.

It was when he saw God’s back. He saw God’s goodness. So in his hands were the tablets of stone, yet his face radiated God’s grace.

The ministry of God is not the Law per se. It is the mixture of Law and Grace.

Adam had been condemned by his conscience, guilt, fear and separation.

Now if God had allowed Adam to live forever in that condemned state forever, it would amount to letting Adam be eternally condemned by his misconceived condition.

God has to allow the Law to do its job is allow Adam to die. That he did when Jesus died as the last Adam.

It was then a new humanity born from the tree of life was born. People in the image of Christ. Not Adam.

What is eternal life? Life forever and ever?

    John 17:3
And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

It’s having Jesus as your righteousness.

As against the Law of Moses as your righteousness.

The people of Israel lived under 40 years in a time of mixture before AD70.

It is at time both law and grace existed.

    So you see.

The story about Adam and Eve are allegorical.

Many people are unaware that the five Books of Moses were not written when Moses lived. It was written at the time when Israel was in captivity in Babylon.

The purpose of its writing was not to show evolution is wrong but to show the Jews the philosophy of living by the Babylonians is wrong.

God didn’t want Adam to die. Eternal life is not life forever. It’s life in the age of the new covenant. The last Adam was resurrected as a brand new man. A man who took the tree of life. Jesus.

    So you see.

Reading the Bible is not as simple you think.

You need to do a lot of research to teach.

God is the God of the living. If Abraham Isaac and Jacob were pronounced as alive even before the cross, then you know Adam too never really died.

    God gives life. Not death.

    Be blessed.
