So Jesus will appear to the whole wide world in the rapture?
“The gospel must be preach to the whole world, then he will come again. It hasn’t reach deepest part of Africa yet. How could he have come?”
The futurist says.
Let be logical.
Now the whole world had one language and a common speech.
Is this the whole wide world including Malaysia? Does it include the South Pole?
As people moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there.
Nope. Shinar. A small locality.
1 Samuel 17:46
This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel.
Again is that the whole world at that time?
1 Samuel 17:51
David ran and stood over him. He took hold of the Philistine’s sword and drew it from the sheath. After he killed him, he cut off his head with the sword. When the Philistines saw that their hero was dead, they turned and ran.
Only the Philistines. Lets move on.
I will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their sins.
I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty
and will humble the pride of the ruthless.
Now who did the Lord punish?
Babylon, the jewel of kingdoms,
the pride and glory of the Babylonians,
will be overthrown by God
like Sodom and Gomorrah.
Babylon. Was it the whole world?
One more from the old.
The angel answered me, “These are the four spirits of heaven, going out from standing in the presence of the Lord of the whole world.
Are these not the words the Lord proclaimed through the earlier prophets when Jerusalem and its surrounding towns were at rest and prosperous, and the Negev and the western foothills were settled?’”
The whole world? No. Jerusalem.
Why is it when we tell you when Jesus said this:
Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.
Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
You assume it includes Africa, the US, and Timbuktu?
Didn’t we show you this?
if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
That the gospel was already preached to the whole world then?
You are still not convinced?
1 Corinthians 7:31
those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them. For this world in its present form is passing away.
Is this not about the Jewish world that was coming to an end during AD70?
And finally this.
1 John 2:15-18
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.
It was already the last hour of the world then?
Oh there is one more verse.
For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the END OF THE WORLD hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Has Jesus already return to the world? Has every eye on the world seen him? When did he say he was returning to our world?
You will then accuse me of being unfair. You will then ask me “when did Jesus say he will return to his world?”
Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
Well. He did say it is in his generation. Didn’t he?
So did Peter.
With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”
So did Paul?
so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”
Now didn’t Jesus say he was returning “Soon” during his time?
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.
How would people in those days have their crown taken away today?
And what did he mean by “Soon”?
Likewise, you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
Are the Nicolaitans alive today?
Why would Jesus fight with them when the people who were threatened are now all dead?
What the point of return “soon” then?
I am not being sarcastic. I am just reading my Bible professionally.
Perhaps we need to do this and not cherry pick verses to support the nonsense we believe in and have our eyes and hearts open.
Then perhaps we would finally recognise who is inside of us.
