When did Revelation 20 take place?

“Your statement reveals your twisted belief! Rev.20 is in the future. Millenial reign of Christ is still in the future.

At any moment from now we,true beĺievers of our Lord Jesus Christ, will be caugth up to Heaven our final Home(1Thes.4:15-18.).”

So this someone wrote to me.

Let’s look at Revelation 20.

Revelation 20:12-14

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.

Now look at this.

Daniel 12:1-2

“At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book —will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.

Notice they refer to the same event?

Now look at this.

Daniel 12:1

“At THAT time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise.

There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations UNTIL THEN.

But AT THAT your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book —will be delivered.

Now when was “that time”?

Matthew 24:21

For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.

Notice Jesus was quoting Daniel 12?

So was John.

Now look again.

Matthew 24:21

For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world UNTIL NOW—and never to be equaled again.

Now see this.

Matthew 24:34

Truly I tell you, THIS generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

Jesus was referring to his time. His generation. AD70.

Hence.

Revelation 20 is about Jesus’ time. Not ours.

Therefore.

Revelation 20:5

(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection.

is not about the future. It’s about AD70.

It’s not my belief that is twisted.

It’s yours.
