Then the Jewish leaders took Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor. By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness they did not enter the palace, because they wanted to be able to eat the Passover. So Pilate came out to them and asked, “What charges are you bringing against this man?”
Under the Law, you will defile yourself if you eat in the house of a Gentile.
Under grace, Jesus will come in and dine with you.
But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”
I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”
Interesting who the bread of life choses to dine with.

He is the bread for the wile, depraved and despondent. By taking him we find his life.
