Many believers keep harping on the fact that Jesus said he did not come to abolish thle law. You must read this verse in context. It was said just after the beatitudes. Blessed are you … and etc. In the beatitudes you are blessed without having to do anything. Accordance to the law in Deut. 28 you can only be blessed if you obey the law. If not you are cursed. So the people presumed that Jesus AT THAT TIME says that the Law was abolished. The Law was not abolished at that time. This is because the Law had not achieved its purpose yet.
