Can Jesus heal through social media: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube?

Dear friends,

Jesus told us that in John 14:12-13

“12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.”

Also there are incidences where Jesus healed a girl who was miles away when he saw the faith of the centurion. I just wanted to share with you that the Lord can even heal through a conversation on facebook on a person who is 6000 miles away.

I have a friend in South Africa and she had on the 3rd asked me to pray for her via a chat on facebook. I was in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and she was in Alberton South Africa. She had asked me to pray for her. This is what transpired.

My friend I am in need of prayer. Burnt my upper arm with steam from kettle last Sunday. It became infected. Saw the dr on friday, 2 different antibiotics and 2 diffirent anti inflammatory tabs. Its getting smaller but in a lot of pain! Plze also for bloodcirculation in my one leg and arm. By the way. Praise Jesus my back is fine. Sorry to bother you in private.

Father your son was burnt with the fire for our judgment. Jesus your hand was burnt for Marie. She has faith in you. She believes jesus has healed her. I therefore rebuke the infection in the name of jesus. I declare that you are healed in the name of jesus.

Hi first pain free night! Thanks Simon for caring! Glory to Jesus! Think there was to much stress previous weeks and I did condemn myself for not able to help my hubby more!

Hi Marie what is happening to your hand now?

Marie Ggrobler

Simon like I said, last night was the first in more than a week that I didn’t have any pain! Its my upper arm in the inside. No more pain, so its slowly healing. I can pick up the baby easy. Look also a lot better. Swelling is gone. Not so red anymore around the wound!

I could not do anything before without pain. Even to sleep was a problem, didn’t know what to do with my arm laying in bed. I took a painkiller every 2 hours before that. You know when burnt it forms a blister, then an open wound and then slowly close with new hard skin. Now the small piece hard skin crack and only then its a little bit pain I don’t need a painkiller now. Only keep it clean rinsing it with saltwater 3 x a day!

Our Lord Jesus did it. She wrote on my wall yesterday and said the following:

“I have burned my arm with steam from the kettle! It happened on 27 Jan and then get infected! Much pain and I didn’t know what to do with it when I try to sleep! Took many painkillers. The Dr put me on antibiotics etc. On 3 Feb I asked Simon to pray for me, which he did! Now praise Jesus I don’t take any painkillers anymore! You can see how much better it look! “

Here’s how the hand look before (with the infection)

This is how it looks after (note the wound had healed and the thick crust has formed) the skin is being replaced. In just a day. How good our Lord Jesus is.

Now this is the point of the note. This is a not a flash in the pan glory story. The intention of the note is to let you know that the Lord Jesus Christ can heal through facebook. Today Social Media is blurring lines between the virtual world and the real world..

Just take a look at this video.

Now dear friends, imagine this Christians praying for healing for anyone, anywhere and anytime. Will that not make a difference to the Kingdom?

Someone wrote, “We live in a world where a billion can connect with another billion in different countries. It changed the very definition of friendship. There are now more than one billion voices in Facebook. In other words, 1 in 6 people use this technology now. And this absolutely changes everything, not counting other social platforms such as Twitter, Foursquare, Digg, Linked In, Pinterest, Google Plus, Reddit, Google+, Tumblr, Youtube, WordPress, Instagram and StumbleUpon.”

“How many of you think that we share more than we need to in the social network?” said James. “But as Christians, we are called to share in a different way, which is to share the good news! Even though we fear persecution, are we not called to stand in faith and share God’s love in the world which doesn’t know Him?

We need to become a social church!

Matt 5:16

In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

As James used to work in the public relation department for Ogilvy Advertizing Agency, he said, “Jesus needs a new PR! We got a message that’s not always presented in the best light. What about the Crusades? What about the wars started in the name of religion? And this one… Jesus is just boring that is the message.”

“Any fool can put on a deal, but it takes genius, faith and perseverance to create a brand” quote by David Ogilvy.

In this generation, at such a time like this, you need to be harvesters or fishermen ONLINE. James shared that most people would click on the first Google link and in this light-speed age, we need to catch a reader’s attention in 1.2 seconds!

“They need to see us and hear us! Why do you think we have food after service and people welcoming at the church doors? That’s because we want to show one another (light of Jesus Christ) through people,” said James.”

Last year we had 120,000  hits. As of today we have a regular of 300-500 visitors on our blog. Imagine 300-500 visitors daily. That’s like 2000-3500 people per week. Now just imagine, think of the amount of people the Lord has touched.

Now church, imagine this. How much sickness, depression, death, sorrow will be taken away if we pray through the social media. Folks, the harvest is full, the workers are few. Pray for the sick, preach the Gospel here, set the captives free. Jesus is also Lord of the virtual world.

Dear friends,

If you have heard of such testimonies of healing across the nations via the net, please share them here in our comments so that we have will be encouraged! Thank you. Jesus is Omnipotent!

  1. The internet is an excellent medium of communication. Its network is vast, fast (even immediate) and cheap. It is the new “telephone”. During the apostles’ time, the Roman had already constructed a sprawling roman-road network for the maintenance, development, consolidation and expansion of its empire. Its overland armies could travelled much faster because of it. So too did the speed by which the Gospel was spread throughout the then Roman Empire because of that excellent road network. Since then, communication mediums had evolved from letters to telegrams, telephones and now the internet. Yet, it must be noted, though the medium between mankind had evolved, that between man and God remains unchanged — Prayer; and their mediator — Christ Jesus. And the great commission, unaltered and unalterable — Preach to the ends of the world. What an excellent tool, then, the internet is; orignally known as the World Wide Web. God is creative and all wise. By all means, make full and best use of it in reaching out to peoples, wherever and whenever you are able to do so.

    Isaiah 55:10-11
10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
